Matthieu Ricard: The habits of happiness

What is happiness, and how can we all get some? You may find some inspirations from his answer. Matthieu Ricard, a Buddhist monk and former cell biologist, offers his own insights about the nature of happiness and how to obtain it. Happiness, for Ricard, cannot be found in fleeting experiences of pleasure,but only in the depths of an individual’s being. For Ricard, happiness is a deep state of well-being and wisdom that flourishes in every moment of life, despite the inevitability of suffering. Individuals can, however, train our minds in habits of well-being, to generate a true sense of serenity and fulfillment.
